 Hello Friends: Badger Bank traces its origin to 1884, when a group of local businessmen raised $25,000 in capital to open the financial institution then known as Citizens State Bank, on 218 South Main Street in Fort Atkinson. In 1970, the bank moved to its current main office at 220 Grant Street in Fort Atkinson. Bank management decided to add trust services to its menu in 1980, hence the bank's name change to Citizens State Bank and Trust. Expansion was the name of the game over the next few years, as in 2000, the bank acquired the Cambridge branch office of M&I Bank. The new Johnson Creek branch office was opened in 2005. Finally, in 2007, a beautiful new branch office in Jefferson opened for business. 2007 was a big year for the bank, as Citizens changed its name to Badger Bank on April 30, 2007. We are very proud of our new identity and our slogan "Green and Growing." The local businessmen that founded the bank in 1884 had the same vision that we still do today at Badger Bank. Our objective remains to provide you with "the best customer service possible, in a very courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner." When our customers turn to us for sound financial advice, they know that we’ll respond with the voice of experience. Our full time staff and officers average over 20 years each of banking experience.
